Frankenberg’s streets and squares will be filled with music and dance for five days. Be there and experience Europe’s biggest festival of folk culture in Frankenberg (Eder).

7–10 p.m. Europeade ‘welcome to the region’ evening:
A fabulous journey through the year accompanied by music and dance

 

Thursday, 18.07.2019
10 a.m.–6 p.m. Street performances in the town:
Different groups perform every 30 minutes
10 a.m.–6 p.m. Europeade forum:
Information stands, regional market, crafts and more
7–10 p.m. Opening gala:
Grand opening ceremony with approx. 2,500 participants
(ticket required)
10 p.m.–12 midnight Europeade by Night unplugged

 

Friday, 19.07.2019
10 a.m.–6 p.m. Street performances in the town:
Different groups perform every 30 minutes
10 a.m.–6 p.m. Europeade forum:
Information stands, regional market, crafts and more
10 a.m.–12 noon Concert performed by music groups:
Live music from around Europe
3–5 p.m. Concert performed by children’s groups:
Children and youth groups showcase their skills
5–6 p.m. Europeade ball for children:
Children and youth groups dance, sing and celebrate together
7–10 p.m. International choral evening:
High-calibre European singing performances
9 p.m.–12 midnight Europeade by Night:
Celebrate and make music along Obermarkt and in the town’s pubs

 

Saturday, 20.07.2019
10 a.m.–1 p.m. Street performances in the town:
Different groups perform every 30 minutes
10 a.m.–1 p.m. Europeade forum:
Information stands, regional market, crafts and more
10 a.m.–12 noon Children’s dance workshops
3–6 p.m. Parade:
Hesse’s biggest carnival procession with all participants
passing through the town (around 2.5 km)
8 p.m.–12 midnight Europeade ball:
Locals, guests and visitors dance, sing and celebrate
together with live music performed by Europeade groups

 

Sunday, 21.07.2019
10.30 a.m.–12 noon Mass:
Ecumenical service featuring lots of local and international music
3–6 p.m. Closing gala:
Grand finale with approx. 2,500 participants and flag handover
(ticket required)
7–10 p.m. Farewell party:
Goodbye from Frankenberg and the Europeade event accompanied
by live music
